Dennis “Tuna” Hull, 56, of Waupun, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at UW Hospital in Madison.



Dennis was born May 29, 1955 in Waupun the son of Harlan and Betty Stiemsma Hull. Dennis attended Waupun Schools. He served in the US Army from 1973 to 1975. He was employed by the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections as a correctional officer for 30 years where he was a loyal and devoted employee. Dennis will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and the stories that were told with excitement and embellishment. He held with great respect and thankfulness the family who lost their loved one and allowed him to extend his life with the donation of a new heart in December of 2003.

Dennis is survived by his children, Dawn (Brad) Ferry of Lake Mills, and Derek (Karissa) Hull of Mankato, MN; his two beloved grandsons, Braden and Corey Ferry; a sister, Brenda (Dennis) Marshall of Waupun; sister-in-law, Angie Hull of Waupun; the mother of his children, Jana Rogers-Bearder of Hatfield, WI; many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart; and his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan and Betty Hull; two brothers who were his best friends, James C. Hull and Harlan “Loppy” Hull; his paternal and maternal grandparents; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.


Services:
Funeral services for Dennis Hull will be held Saturday, April 21st, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Waupun with Rev. Calvin Vande Zande officiating.

Visitation:
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
