Diane was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 10, 1939, the daughter of Reginald and Elsa (Schwien) Wood. She graduated from Lord Selkirk High School in Winnipeg. Diane was united in marriage to Donald G. Anderson and he preceded her in death. She was later married to Walter "Wally" W. Dunnett. Diane spent her last working years prior to retirement at the Veterans Administration Center in Milwaukee.
For many years, Diane enjoyed spending weekends at her trailer at the campground on Little Green Lake and cruising in her pontoon boat. She enjoyed the area so much that she purchased property there when she retired. Diane also had many friends in the Hayward and Diamond Lake areas. She was a phenomenal cook and housekeeper, baked the best Christmas cookies, looked forward to Friday night fish fry and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers. She loved her Cat, appropriately named Taby, but the highlight of her life was her grandchildren, whom she talked about often.
She is survived by her two sons, Greg (fiancée Cherie) Anderson and Keith Anderson; her granddaughters, Kylee and Ashley; her step-children, Christine (Richard) Chartier, Walter (Rosie) Dunnett, and Kenneth Dunnett. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands and her sister, Carol (Wood) Baker.
Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services in Markesan is honored to be serving the family.
