Obituary
Dolores V. Roedl, age 102 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Dolores was born on November 10, 1906 in Columbus to Leonard and Elizabeth (nee Strohbusch) Ehlenfeldt. On August 20, 1924 she was united in marriage to Edward Roedl and she lived in Beaver Dam until her passing.
She was an excellent homemaker and loving caregiver to all of her family. She was blessed with two children, but her greatest achievement was having 10 sets of 5 generations of siblings and she was able to babysit almost all of them. She was very family oriented and raised not only her children, but also helped with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always so proud that all the generations always referred to her as "Ma". Christmas was always a special time for her and she would spend countless hours preparing the house and food for family to enjoy. Dolores was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother and she will be dearly missed.
Dolores is survived by her children; Carmen Bemis and Leonard (Audrey) Roedl both of Beaver Dam; her grandchildren; John (Peggy) Bemis, Lizabeth "Nooney" Bemis, Lori (Daniel) Gonzales, Linda (Ken) McDougal, Kathy (Michael) Scholz, Paul (Chris) Roedl, Julie (Preston) Tillier, 18 great-granchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, two brothers; LeRoy and Lloyd Ehlenfeldt, a son-in-law; Lloyd "Dagwood" Bemis and a grandson; Joey Bemis.
A Funeral Service for Dolores will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 1:00p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam with Rev. Mark Jensen officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 1:00p.m. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam with a luncheon to follow at the funeral home.
