Don K. Kamrath, age 61 of Beaver Dam, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, January 30, 2008.

He was born September 16, 1946, in Beaver Dam, to Edgar and Mildred (Mattox) Kamrath. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1964 and later attended Madison Business College. Don honorably served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1966 – 1970. On September 11, 1971, he married his loving wife Beth (Kronenberg) at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Before working for the Wisconsin Hearing Aid Center for many years, Don worked at the family business, Kamrath's Inc. in Beaver Dam. He enjoyed going out to eat, boating, fishing, attending music concerts, and getting away on warm, tropical vacations. His Saturdays were often spent "putzing" around the house. Don loved his family, and especially enjoyed spending time with his two grandchildren.

Don is survived by his wife, Beth Kamrath of Beaver Dam; two children, Ben Kamrath and Jill (Brad) Burchardt, both of Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, Leah and Evan Burchardt; one brother, Gene (Shirley) Kamrath of Beaver Dam; his mother-in-law, Helen Kronenberg of Beaver Dam; two sister-in-laws, Karen (Pete) Share of Colgate, WI and Mary (Randy) Rautenberg of Beaver Dam; and one brother-in-law, James Kronenberg of Beaver Dam. He is further survived by nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, father-in-law Leonard "Casey" Kronenberg, and other relatives.

Funeral Services for Don will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd, Beaver Dam with Rev. Philip Heyer officiating. Visitation will be held in remembrance & celebration of Don's life on Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hillside Hospice.
