Donald J. Meier, age 90, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully at his home on January 23, 2025.

Visitation for Donald will take place on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd.,  from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m with Rev. Carrie Schuett officiating.  Military honors will follow at the funeral home and burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam.

He was born on February 28, 1934, in Verona, WI. Donald attended school through the 8th grade after which he began to work on the family farm and had other various jobs. He proudly served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958.

In 1959, Donald married the love of his life, Vivian Krause, on June 20. The couple spent 57 years together until Vivian's passing in 2016. Donald's career included work at Kelsch's Machine Company in Paoli until 1973, after which he moved to Reeseville and worked at A-OK Industries. Donald was a dedicated member of the Reeseville community, serving on the village board and as a member of the Reeseville Fire Department for nearly 30 years. He was also a devoted member of the First United Church of Christ. In 2004, he and Vivian moved to Beaver Dam, where they continued to enjoy life together.

Donald's family meant the world to him. He is survived by his children, John Meier of Beaver Dam and Judy Mark (Jason) of Juneau, as well as his cherished grandchildren: Ashley Gerber (Ryan) of Waupun, Logan (Erin) Meier of Sauk City, Lucas (Samantha) Meier of Rhinelander, Caleb Mark of Beaver Dam, and Emma Mark of Juneau. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Jaylen, Adelynn, Layla, and Ryah, who brought him much joy. He is further survived by his brother, Edward (Mary Lou) Meier of Belleville; his brother-in-law, Elmer (Pat) Krause of Janesville; and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vivian Meier; his parents; his sister, Esther; and his mother and father-in-law.

Donald's family would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
