Donald P. Taylor, age 69, of Beaver Dam and formerly of Forest Park, Illinois went to be with Jesus, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 3, 2009.


Don was born to Fred and Arvilla (nee Knop) Taylor on December 28, 1939 in Oak Park, Illinois.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Cathie (nee Huebner), son Don (Katherine) and daughters Ruth (Dennis) Weidler, Jennifer Taylor (David Evert), and Emilie Taylor.

He was loved and will be missed by his grandchildren, Nathan, Nicky, Sarah, Jenna, "double D" David Donald, his little "Sweet Pea", Maggie, Karl, Matt, Debra, Kristine, Nathan, Rebecca, Thomas, and Torin.

He was preceded in death by his mother Arvilla, his father Fred Sr. and his brother Fred Jr.

He is also survived by his sisters Linda (Jim) Myrtle and Deborah Taylor and sister-in-law Mary Ann Taylor, and his brothers Ron (Pat) Taylor, and Jim (Cindy) Taylor and many nieces and nephews including godson Joseph Donald Taylor.

We are grateful for the 69 years Don had on this earth, thank God for the time we got to spend with him, and look forward to the day when we will see him again in heaven.

A Funeral Service for Donald will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 400 Hillcrest Drive in Beaver Dam with Rev. Mark Wenzel officiating. Visitation will also be held at the Church on Saturday, April 11th from NOON until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
