Donna Jean Moldenhauer, 90, of Markesan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Markesan Resident Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Visitation for Donna will be on Wednesday, August 28 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 65 W. Catherine St., Markesan.  Funeral will follow, officiated by Pastor Jason Jobs.  Burial will be in the Markesan Memorial Cemetery, with lunch at the church fellowship hall.

Donna was born on March 20, 1929 in Green Lake County, the daughter of John and Mamie Laper.  On June 20, 1948, she married DuWayne Moldenhauer at St. John's Lutheran Church in Markesan.  They spent the next 50 years together.

Donna lived in Markesan all her life. She was a stay at home mom, working part time jobs at St. John's Lutheran Church and at the voting polls. She was an active member of St. John's Ladies Aid. She enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Tucson, AZ.

Survivors include her sons: Craig (Jill) of Princeton and Kurt of Hudson, FL; five grandchildren, Cara (Matt) Heagney, Cyndi (Jason) Bennett, Craig Moldenhauer, all of Fort Atkinson, Brett Moldenhauer (fiancée, Kristen) and Collen Moldenhauer, all of Minneapolis, MN; eight great-grandchildren, Ethan, Hope, Alyssa, Grant and Cole Heagney and Elijah, Isaac and Aaron Bennett; and also, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (DuWayne), siblings, John Laper, Ralph Laper, Sylvia Lieske and Loretta Kastenschmidt.
