Donna Marwitz

Donna Marwitz, age 90 of Marquette, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

Donna was born on May 25, 1936, to Reinhold and Ida (Hoffman) Ebert. She was a 1954 graduate of Markesan High School before attending Oshkosh Mercy Medical Center School of Nursing, graduating from there in 1957. On May 17, 1958, she was united in marriage to her husband, Alton Marwitz, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marquette. Donna started work at Ripon Hospital before working for Markesan Medical Center under Dr. Cupery, and lastly at Waupun Memorial Hospital, where she worked for over 30 years before retiring.She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, fishing, and camping. She also cherished time spent with her family, especially watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sports.

Donna is survived by her children, Sonia (David) Robson, Glenn (Jamie) Marwitz, and Kristin Marwitz; six grandchildren, Danielle Paulick, Carly Marwitz, Amanda (Seth) Hopp, Jon (Lindsey) Marwitz, Luke (Holly) Marwitz, and Erik (Brea) Marwitz; 15 great-grandchildren; her sister, Doris Kok; her brother, Richard (Rose) Ebert; her sister, Karen Kienast; her sister-in-law, Grace Ebert; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton; her son, Scott; her brothers, Darwin and James, and wife Sandi; her brothers-in-law, Lloyd Zwieg and Byron Kok; and other relatives.

Visitation for Donna will take place at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Grand View Cemetery in Marquette.
