Doris Zastrow, age 88 of Markesan and formerly of Manchester, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Markesan Resident Home.

Visitation for Doris will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Manchester from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Michael Plagenz will officiate. Burial will take place at Lake Maria Cemetery.

Doris was born in the town of Green Lake on June 16, 1928, the daughter of Fred and Ida (Rupnow) Nitz. On June 5, 1949, she was united in marriage to Walter E. Zastrow at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Ripon. Doris worked at PMI for over 30 years and enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Manchester and Manchester Senior Citizens.

Doris is survived by her children, Lynn (Sue) Zastrow of Appleton and Lynette (Dennis) Dykstra of Markesan; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Zastrow, Daniel (Mary) Zastrow, Tonya (Justin) Bock, Tina (Nathan) Gerbitz and Toni (Phil) Watry; great-grandchildren, Krystal Zastrow, Augustine Zastrow, Brice Zastrow, Johanna Zastrow, Cassandra Gerbitz, Kira Bock, Ethan Gerbitz, Owen Bock and Lilyana Watry; great-great grandchildren, Laihne, Bryden, and Oaklynn; her sister, Viola Fenske of Manchester; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Irma Pretz and Eunice Salzwedel; her brothers, George, Elmer, Herbert, Wilbur, Harold, and other relatives.
