Dorothy A. Gove, 88, Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Remembrance Home in Beaver Dam.
Visitation for Dorothy will be at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam on Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at Cornerstone.
Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, Trenton Township.
Dorothy was born July 1, 1927 in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Alvin and Elsie (Schwandt) Graff. She was a 1945 graduate of Beaver Dam High School and a lifelong resident of Beaver Dam. Dorothy was married to Waldemar (Wally) Loeck on May 30, 1947, who preceded her in death in 1980. She was united in marriage to Clayton (Pete) Gove on October 23, 1982. During her working years, Dorothy held various positions at Monarch Range, WBEV, Dodge County Library and Dodge County Social Services. Dorothy will be remembered as a person who needed to stay busy, enjoyed dancing and playing cards with family and friends, and who loved helping out with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Clayton (Pete) of Beaver Dam; one son Steve (Bev Beal) of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren, Brian (Missy) Loeck of Deforest, Brad (Sam) Loeck of Whitefish Bay, and Stephanie (Russ) Kramer of Sussex; two great grandchildren, Gabby Loeck and Max Loeck of Deforest; one step-son, Scott (Terri) Gove of Travis County Texas; one step-daughter Gail (Dennis) Toellner of Beaver Dam; and several step-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Elsie Graff; her first husband Wally; a sister Phyllis (Merlin) Luck; a brother Norman and a step-daughter Janice.
The family would like to especially thank the Remembrance Home staff for the care and support that they provided to Dorothy and her family during the past five years.
Memorials may be directed to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church Sunday School Ministry.
