Doug Moede

Doug Moede, age 59 of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Doug was born on June 1, 1967, to Orris and Nancy (Runge) Moede. He graduated from Waupun High School. Doug held several jobs throughout his life, including farming and milking cows, electric wiring, production line work, and most recently, driving forklift.

Doug enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and just being outdoors. He loved learning new survivalist skills and took pride in living off the land. Above all, his children were what mattered most to him.

Doug is survived by his daughters, Jessica Moede, Samantha (Robert) Torres, and Jennifer (fiancé, Don Engle) Moede; his grandchildren, Dawson, Rye, Joey, and Tyler; his siblings, Tammy Vande Zande, Dawn (Dan) Van Buren, Scott (Angie) Moede, and Lance (Jill) Moede; and further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jacob; his parents; a grandchild, Caven Donovan; an infant sister, Debbie; and other relatives.

A memorial gathering for Doug will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m.
