Douglas B. Higgins

Doug Higgins, 23, of Waupun, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016.

The most important thing to Doug was spending time with family and friends, especially his fiancee', Ashley and their little man, Terran. He vowed to be there for his son who meant the world to him. Anyone who knew Doug was assured that having Terran in his life on a daily basis was Doug’s utmost priority. Doug loved playing PS4 and had many gaming friends from all over. He loved the Packers and any time he had the chance to throw around a football with his brother Dan or friends he took full advantage of that. Doug attended school in Horicon, Lomira, and graduated from Montello High School. Doug attended Fresh Start in Portage, WI, He helped to build a home for a family in need, something to be very proud of. Most say Doug had a smile that could make anyone smile. He was quick, witty, and quite the charmer. He loved being around people and made friends easily wherever he went.

He will be deeply missed by many: his 3-yr old son, Terran of Waupun; fiancee', Ashley Addis of Waupun; mom, Heidi Higgins of Montello; dad, Brian (Leann) Higgins of Lomira; brothers: Dave (Jordan) of Mayville and Dan of Montello; sister, Jadeyn Higgins of Lomira; step-brother, Brandon Borden of Lomira; 2-yr old nephew, Greycen; and
grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Doug was preceded death by great-grandparents: Robert and Alice Hoffmann of Milwaukee and Weston and Wilda Higgins of Maine; and uncle, Ron Piel of Florida.


Friends and relatives may call on the family on Sunday at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of service.


Funeral services for Doug Higgins will be held Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun.
