Douglas Davis, age 71, formerly of Markesan, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah.

Douglas was born on December 8, 1944 in Berlin. He graduated from Markesan High School in 1963. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later lived with Sam and Delores Van Doren's family for many years, until he entered the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King in June 2006.

Douglas is survived by his family, Sandy (Wesley) James and family of Markesan, Cheryl (Tom) Maenner and family of Sun Prairie and Ron (Karen) Davis and family of Kingston; special friend, Shirley and other relatives.

A graveside service for Douglas will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Mackford Union Cemetery.
