Douglas (Floyd) Respalje of Waupun, formerly of Brandon passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Waupun Christian Home.

Doug is survived by his wife, Terri of Waupun, Daughter, Lydia and Son, Samm, Step-daughters, Amanda and Angela Miller, all of Waupun. His mother, Elvira (Daane) Respalje of Waupun, Brother, Delwin (Rosemary) of Dalton, Brother, Dale (Yvonne) of Brandon, Sister, Elnora (Randy) Navis of Waupun, Brother, Dan (Gretchen Gallenbeck)of Markesan, Brother, Darwin (Linda) of Fond du Lac, Brother, Dennis (Kerry) of Brandon and sister Emily (Denise) of Plymouth and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Doug will be remembered by many as he was involved in the Brandon Irons Motorcycle Club, the Christian Motorcyclist Association as Road Captain, the Heroes Hunt for Wounded Warriors as Vice President, and helped with the Billy Shears Band and various musicians around the area.

It is with fondness that his family and friends remember him as a winning chili maker, a superb hunting guide, his enjoyment of pool, his impeccable craftsmanship as a carpenter, and most of all, his devotion to loving his children.




A service will be held at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun on Tuesday, September 5th with a visitation from 5pm to 6pm and a service to follow.



The family would like to thank the Waupun Christian Home and Southern Care Hospice for their help with caring for Doug.
