Edward "Alan" Rasmusson, 78, of Fond du Lac, died on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.

Alan was born on March 27, 1943. When he was 18 months old, the late Willard and Irma Davison took Alan into their home in the Markesan area as a foster child. Alan became part of their family forever. He was confirmed in 1957 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Markesan. Throughout his adult life he was employed in various jobs.

Alan is survived by another foster brother, Gary (late Ann) Northcutt of Princeton. He is further survived by sisters, Ramona (late Earle) Haima of Stevens Point and Annette (late Al) Cooper of Missouri, and brother-in-law, James Hartwell of Nevada. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides his foster parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Clara (William) Werth, Lois Davison, and Audrey Hartwell.

A graveside service for Alan will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Lake Maria Cemetery, Markesan.

The family would like to thank the extended care facilities that have cared for Alan over the recent years in the Fond du Lac area, including the staff at the Hospice Home of Hope in his last days.
