Elaine Mae (Kearley) Truelsen, age 88 of Zephyrhills, FL and formerly of Markesan, WI, passed away on February 11, 2016.
A memorial gathering for Elaine will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Markesan United Methodist Church, 74 W. Catherine St., Markesan from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Yoder officiating. Burial will take place at Markesan Memorial Cemetery.
Elaine was born on September 24, 1927 in Green Lake township, the daughter of Vergne and Alma Kearley. She married Gilbert Klatt on July 1, 1944 and together they had three children. Elaine later married Ivan Hunter on February 24, 1972. Ivan preceded her in death on November 27, 1977. Elaine later married Delmar "Blondie" Truelsen on February 4, 1980. Blondie preceded her in death on December 8, 1998. Elaine worked at Waukesha Motors, Markesan canning factory and at various restaurants. She was a snowbird and enjoyed her winter home in Florida. Elaine enjoyed crocheting, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 210 in Waupun.
Elaine is survived by her sons, Russell (Joyce) Klatt, Gale (Theresa) Klatt and Gary Klatt; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Carol Platt; her brother, Ronald (Ginny) Kearley; many nieces and nephews and friends both in Florida and Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents and her brothers, Duane and Deryl.
