Elizabeth Bille, 90, formerly of Waupun, died Friday, August 24, 2012 at Harbor Haven Health & Rehabilitation in Fond du Lac.



Elizabeth was born January 23, 1922 in the town of Trenton the daughter of Henry and Jessie Riel Van Ruiswyk. Elizabeth was employed by National Rivet in Waupun during the Korean War and thereafter by the Waupun and Beaver Dam shoe factories. On June 25, 1955 she married Gordon Bille. Following their marriage the couple resided in Waupun. Gordon preceded her in death on May 30, 1999. Elizabeth was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible class for many years. She was also active in the church’s Ladies Guild and enjoyed putting up the church’s bulletin boards. Elizabeth loved to garden, do crafts and sewing, and helped those in need when she was still able to do so.

Elizabeth is survived by two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Van Ruiswijk and Mary Van Ruiswyk; and by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon; and three brothers, William, Jacob and James Van Ruiswyk.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Harbor Haven for their wonderful and compassionate care of Elizabeth.


Visitation:
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Services:
Funeral services for Elizabeth Bille will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Waupun with Rev. Calvin Vande Zande officiating.

Burial:
Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
