Ethel E. Westerveld, 92, of Marshfield, WI, formerly of Waupun, died Monday, February 3, 2014 at her residence.
Ethel was born June 2, 1921 in Waupun, the daughter of Sigmund and Martha Berndt Rehwinkel. On October 10, 1952 she married Roland Westerveld at Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun. Ethel served as Sunday School Teacher and directed the children’s choir at Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun. She also taught children in Bible Class and Sunday School at Trinity Reformed Church in Waupun for many years. Ethel was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield, WI.
Ethel is survived by her husband, Roland Westerveld; two sons, Paul (Peggy) Westerveld of Holmen, WI and Mark (Mary Jo) Westerveld of De Forest, WI; a grandson, Spencer Westerveld of Holmen, WI; a granddaughter, Kelsey Westerveld of Denver, CO; a sister, Elaine Rehwinkel; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Westerveld; and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Ethel was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth Westerveld; her parents; grandparents; a sister; a brother; a brother-in-law; and nephews.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Saturday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Ethel E. Westerveld will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Daryn Bahn officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery.
