Ethel V. Little, age 92 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Ethel was born on May 5, 1920 to Walter "W.E." and Elisabeth (nee Stott) Machkovech in Beaver Dam. After graduating from Beaver Dam High School in 1939, she attended beauty school and worked as a bookkeeper for several local businesses. She was united in marriage to Dallas Little on February 24, 1943 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Milwaukee.
Ethel was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam, where she enjoyed being a part of the Catholic Women's group in her earlier years. Her hobbies included knitting, baking, cooking, gardening, bird watching and playing cards. When she was younger, she also enjoyed bowling and traveling. She was very dedicated to her family and treasured all of the time that she spent with her children and grandchildren.
Ethel is survived by her two children, Sandy Sturm of Snohomish, WA and Larry (Vicky) Little of Beaver Dam; her grandchildren, Michelle Sturm of Seattle, WA, Christopher Sturm of Everett, WA, Lori (Ron) Guenther of Beaver Dam and Lisa (Scott) Graff of Beaver Dam; and her great-grandchildren, Abby, Kailey, Jase, Kyle and Brittany. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dallas in 2000, her brothers, Allen and Earl, and other relatives.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Ethel will be on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 511 S. Spring St. in Beaver Dam with Fr. Mike Erwin as celebrant. Visitation will be held on Tuesday prior to the Mass at Church, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, followed by a luncheon served at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam.
