Eugene Mich, age 98, formerly of Randolph, went to his heavenly home on July 5, 2025.
Eugene was born December 9, 1926 in Milwaukee, the son of Joseph and Anna Galler Mich. Eugene graduated from Boys Tech High School in Milwaukee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country during WWII. On May 1, 1948 he married Marian Markwiese in Milwaukee. Following their marriage the couple resided in Milwaukee where he was a fireman for 28 years and retired in 1986. In 1989 Eugene and Marian moved to Lake Emily in Dodge County where he enjoyed fishing and gardening. Eugene was a member of Crossroads Fellowship in Waupun and a member of American Legion Post 521 in Fox Lake. For the past number of years Eugene and Marian opened their home to worship and prayer services. He and Marian enjoyed wintering in Punta Gorda, FL since 2002. Eugene was also a member of Lake Emily Fishing and Improvement Club.
Eugene is survived by eight children: Kay (John) Josten-Jackson, Patricia (Tom) Ball, Marianne Krystowiac, Ann (Dick) Kowalewski, Eugene G. Mich, Richard (Debbie) Mich, Bill (Julie) Mich, and Jeanmarie (Mike) Jerecki; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marian; son-in-law, Tom Krystowiac; and daughter-in-law, Mary Mich.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Pastor Jeff Casper officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be directed to Crossroads Fellowship in Waupun or Wounded Warriors.
