Evelyn Lemke, 91, of Waupun, passed away May 21, 2018 at the Christian Home in Waupun.

Evelyn was born May 31, 1926 in the town of Alto, the daughter of Albert A. and Anah Loomans Vande Zande. In 1944 Evelyn graduated from Waupun High School. On March 26, 1949 she married Milan Lemke in Waupun. Evelyn worked at Ideal Shoe Factory, Breyer Brothers and Whiting Co., and The Waupun Leader News as secretary. She was an active member of Union-Congregational Church in Waupun. Evelyn was a sports enthusiast who loved to watch just about any sporting event on TV. She was a huge Packers, Cubbie, and Badger Basketball fan.

Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Lana (Terry) Meyer of Waupun; two sons: Mark Lemke (friend, Barbara) of Bastrop, TX and Robert Lemke (friend, Liz) of Chandler, AZ; three grandchildren: Tim (Debbie) Meyer, Martha (Sonny Kwon) Meyer, and Cori Lemke; six great-grandchildren: Alex Meyer, Zachary Meyer, Mia Kwon, Ian Kwon, Aubrey Wathen, and Braden Wathen.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Milan; her parents; two brothers: Roger M. Vande Zande and Kenneth R. Vande Zande; and two sisters: Helen (Herbert) Pickhardt and Lois (Milton) Veleke.



Friends and relatives may call on the family on Saturday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service.



Funeral services for Evelyn Lemke will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Robert Sherwood officiating.



Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
