Obituary

Evelyn Lemmenes age 83 of Beaver Dam, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Evelyn was born April, 3, 1926 in Nashotah, WI to Lucian and Estella (Bruessel) Perry.
Evelyn lived her early childhood in Nashotah, WI and at the Bruessel family farm prior to her family's move into Waupun. She enjoyed her involvement with Girl Scouts and played her beloved cello in several high school groups. Upon her graduation from Waupun High School in 1944 she entered the U.S. Cadet Nursing Corp and received her training at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Her nursing career of 30 plus years included service at Clearview and Lakeview Nursing Homes and Beaver Dam Community Hospital. She was known for her professional and empathetic care. While raising her children in Atwater she was involved with Chester Elementary P.T.A. and Achiever's 4-H Club. She also enjoyed collecting buttons, various antiques, painting, creating button pins, swimming and reading.
Evelyn was dearly loved and will be missed by family and friends.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Mary Swierzynski, Beaver Dam, Michael Lemmenes, Plainfield, IL, Kathryn (Michael) Schmidt, Green Bay, Bryan (Peggy) Lemmenes, Stoughton and Jeffery (Dawn) Lemmenes, Medford, WI; grandchildren, Stephanie (David) Bentley, Atlanta, GA, Lexi and Jack Lemmenes, Plainfield, IL, Jacob Schmidt Lemmenes, New York, NY, Katelyn Lemmenes, Medford, WI and a great-grandchild Carson Bentley of Atlanta, GA.
She is further survived by sisters Beverly Scallon, Beaver Dam, June Pearcy, Fishers, IN, brother Eugene Perry, Waupun along with nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Lloyd Lemmenes, son-in-law John Swierzynski and granddaughter Jennifer Swierzynski.

A visitation for Evelyn will be on Friday, November 13, 2009 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam from 4-7 p.m. There will also be visitation on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 9-10 a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church, 215 Gould St. in Beaver Dam. A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Dr. Jack Harrison officiating, assisted by Rev. Michael Schmidt. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun and a luncheon will be served at Grace Presbyterian Church following the burial.
Memorials may be directed to Hillside Hospice or Grace Presbyterian Church, both of Beaver Dam.
