Faye Maxine Aalsma, 74, died on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Waupun. Faye was so ready to go home to heaven. Her greatest joy in life was being with her children and grandchildren. Faye loved to laugh, play and just be with her kids and grandkids. She was defined by a simple, steady faith in Jesus that rooted her life.
Faye also missed her husband, Norb, so very much, who went to heaven 18 years ago. We are so thankful she is reunited with her husband, son Jeffrey and so many other loved ones.
Faye was born on November 3, 1950, in South Dakota to Walter and Jeanette (Fortrie) Bordewyk. On July 8, 1969, at the ripe age of 18, she was married to Norb Aalsma (21) at the Second Christian Reformed Church in Randolph Wisconsin.
Faye will be missed by her six children, Manning (Amy) Aalsma of Castro Valley, CA, Martin Aalsma of Sun Prairie; daughter-in-law, Jelene Gilmore of Arizona; Matt (Tina) Aalsma of Indianapolis, IN, Amber (Joe) Heeringa of Waupun, Alexander (Sidney) Aalsma of Waupun, and Austin Aalsma of Milwaukee. She is survived by her 13 grandchildren, Derek, Jenna, Julia, Josie, Norah, Merritt, Eli, Ava, Brackston, Ivy, Lincoln, Charlotte, Sierra with the next one due in May. She is survived by her sister Bonnie Vanderpol of Rapid City, SD; and brother Curt Bordewyk of Richmond, VA.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Charles Aalsma, and her son, Jeffrey. She was also preceded by her parents, Walter and Jeanette Bordewyk; sister Myrna Alsum; and brother Keith Bordewyk. We love that they are all together in heaven worshiping Jesus at this moment!
