Lutheran Church, and she later graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1937. After graduation, she was employed at the Weyenberg Shoe Factory and then married Franklin Linde on August 24, 1940 at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. In January of 2010, Frances moved to the Charleston House in Beaver Dam, where she spent the last months of her life surrounded by a caring staff that became family to her.

Frances is survived by her two daughters, Judy (Keith) Miller of Beaver Dam, and Joycelyn (Phil) Buteyn of Madison; her three grandsons, Tim (Claire) Miller of Sauk City, Chris (Dana) Miller of Suamico, and Matt (Tammy) Buteyn of Waukesha; and her four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Ruth (Edward) Lewandoski, her sister-in-laws, Leona Amberson and Charlotte Linde, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Franklin in 1997; her brothers, Nelvin and John Amberson; and her sisters, Pearl Nenno, Alice Linde, and Gladys Koch.
