Frances "Bunny" J. Schmidt, age 92 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam.

A memorial gathering for Frances will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Frances was born on March 6, 1933, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Herbert and Marie (Arndt) Duzinske. She was a 1951 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On December 3, 1955, she was united in marriage to her husband, Jack D. Schmidt at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam, where she was a lifelong member. Frances worked for many years as a bank teller and was very active in her community. She served as treasurer for many local organizations, most notably dedicating 50 years to the Friends of the Beaver Dam Library. Frances was also president of the Beaver Dam Women's Affiliate of the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce. She loved her dogs and donated her time to the Humane Society as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Schmidt; sister, Verliss; niece, Linda; and her beloved dog, Sandy, who passed away just a week prior. She is survived by friends and other relatives.

Memorials may be directed to Friends of the Beaver Dam Library, Dodge County Humane Society or First Ev. Lutheran Church.
