Frank "Fritz" James Thorn passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2025 in Beaver Dam, WI.

Fritz was born on February 11, 1965 to Francis and Kay (Milarch) Thorn in Beaver Dam, WI. Fritz was a resident of Beaver Dam for most of his life.  He graduated in 1983 from Beaver Dam High School.  Throughout his work career he worked as a cheesemaker, bartender, roofer, metal fabricator, radiator specialist, and most recently as finishing operator at Mittera.  Outside of his working career, Fritz was a true "jack-of-all-trades" person.  He was versatile in performing a variety of tasks; executed exemptional results; and completed tasks with little friction.

Visitation for Fritz will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services in Beaver Dam from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton.

In his teen years, Fritz developed a keen interest in car racing through building a race car to run at Beaver Dam Raceway.  He accomplished this feat through a bare bones budget and extraordinary ability to field a race car every chance he could get.  As years gone by, he kept an interest in racing by watching Formula One, NASCAR, and local racing through You Tube videos.  Beyond racing he always followed and supported the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.

He was a simple person who led a modest life.  In his later years he had no car but had his Trek bicycles for transportation to work, laundry, and shopping needs.  He was a humble and gracious person who had many friends.  As one friend said, "Things won't be the same with Fritz's passing."

He is survived by his half-sisters Sherri and Leora, and half-brother Richard (Holly).  Fritz was preceded in death by his father and mother.
