Frederick “Fred” Krohn, 73, of rural Brandon, died Sunday evening, June 22, 2014 at Waupun Memorial Hospital.




Fred was born June 30, 1940 in Waupun, the son of Earl and Dorothy Baker Krohn. Fred was a graduate of Waupun High School, class of 1958. Fred served with the United States Army from 1964-1966. On May 27, 1967 he married Rada Wilcoxen in Salem, IL. Following their marriage they moved to the Brandon area where they farmed for 45 years. Following farming, Fred worked at Equity Livestock in Lomira for 20 years. Fred was a member of Rising Sun Grange in Ladoga, a very active member of Union-Congregational Church in Waupun, having served on many boards and committees, a board member of the town of Springvale, president of Wedges Prairie Cemetery Association, and a member of Guernsey Breeders Association. He was also a past 4H member.

Fred is survived by a daughter, Renae (Tim Vaughn) Krohn of rural Brandon; a son, Dean (Amy) Krohn of rural Brandon; three grandchildren, Edward, Lucy, and Heather Krohn; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Krohn of Waupun; and nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Rada Krohn in 2012; an infant son, Eugene Frederick Krohn; a brother, Gib Krohn; a brother-in-law, Eugene Wilcoxen; and a sister-in-law, Willadene Wilcoxen; and his parents.





Visitation:


Friends and relatives of Fred Krohn may call on the family on Friday evening at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.



Services:


Memorial services for Fred Krohn will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Union-Congregational Church in Waupun with Rev. Jack Kraaz officiating.



Burial:


Burial will follow at Wedges Prairie Cemetery in the town of Waupun. American Legion Post 210 of Waupun will provide military honors.
