Mr. Fish was my sixth grade teacher at Amity. He was kind and funny. He was my first male teacher and the first teacher who showed a sense of humor. He used to let my best friend and me sit under his desk and talk. Fond memories of a great teacher!
So Sorry for your loss. He was a great teacher. He taught me and my siblings at Amity. I have only fun memories of him.
Tracy, please receive our deepest sympathy for you and yours with the passing of your father. What a blessing he touched so many lives and could depart when all were scheduled to be together to celebrate Christmas. At this time/Christmas we celebrate, as the birth of Christ enables us to have Hope and we can only hope the timing can also be a reminder of and provide additional peace. With Much Love , The Stevens family
He was the best teacher I ever had at any level. I would not be a medical doctor today without his influence on my life. May he rest in peace.

Ahh! Mr. Fish! I did so enjoy working with you at Amity School for all those years. You touched the lives of hundreds of students, their parents, and the rest of the staff. You were what helped make Amity such a close knit family in the community. I have stories that could last fur days! I valued you as a teaching peer and for your friendship! We had good times at school and outside of school! Prayers up for Carolyn and the kids, and the grandkids. May that smile, laugh, and great memories comfort them in the time to come.

Dear Carolyn and family,
As we watched Gary’s video we were focused on what a beautiful family and lifetime of memories were created. He was an extraordinary man ….. always willing to give to his students and his family…. and always with a smile on his face. He touched many and will not be forgotten. He was everyone’s gift from above. May you find peace and strength in the coming days. He was truly a wonderful person. Thinking of you, Clyde & Donna Maxwell
After returning from our winter stay in Florida we heard the sad news of Gary’s passing. Gery was a friend and heavy weight wrestler on our team at Westby High School. It was a honor and pleasure to have been his coach. He will be missed as a good person and a friend.
