Georgetta Jean Thibeau, age 94 of Fox Lake, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam, WI.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Georgetta will take place on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., Mount Pleasant, WI 53406 at 11:00 a.m.
Georgetta was born in Bloomer, WI on December 30, 1928, the daughter of George and Bertha (Meindel) Anderson. She worked at Western Printing in Racine, WI for 35 years. She began as a bookbinder and was a proud Teamsters Member. Georgetta was a lifelong learner and eventually achieved the position of press operator all while doing an exemplary job of raising a family of six children as a single parent. She loved to vacation with family, especially to Las Vegas, Hawaii, Florida, New Mexico, Alabama, Mississippi, California, Colorado, and Mexico. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, completing puzzles, and was quite the avid reader, reading every single autobiography from A-Z at the Racine Library.
Georgetta is survived by her children, David (Martha) Thibeau, Susan (Jeffrey) Porter, Michael (Betty) Thibeau, Mary (Mitchell) Wingo, Roxanne (Frank Renteria) Ruffalo, and Marcia (Jeffrey) Meier; grandchildren, Jennifer Thibeau-Andrews, Michelle (Matthew) Wingo-Cain, and Jason (Adrienne) Meier; great-grandchildren, Alison Andrews, Silas Cain, Maya Cain, Zoe Meier, and Quentin Meier; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers and sisters; grandson-in-law, David Andrews; and other relatives.
