Georgianna "Jeanne" A. Herrmann

Georgianna “Jeanne” A. Herrmann, 93, of Waupun, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 23, 2018.

Jeanne was born June 2, 1925, the daughter of Frank and Lucy Tamminga Aalsma. Jeanne graduated from Waupun High School. On June 18, 1949 she married Edwin Herrmann in Milwaukee. The couple resided in the Milwaukee, Mequon, and Brown Deer areas where Jeanne was an executive secretary at Albert Trostel and Sons until retirement. In 1975 Edwin and Jeanne moved to Fox Lake and then to Waupun. Jeanne was very involved at the Senior Center in Waupun. She was a member of St. Mary’s of Mayville.

Jeanne is survived by a sister, Irene Ter Beest of Brandon, a sister-in-law, Loretta Aalsma of Texas; a brother-in-law, Jack Herrmann of Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin in 2005; three brothers: Andrew, John, and Gordon Aalsma; and sisters: Gertrude Holstein, Elizabeth Hopp, Beatrice Heideman, and Nina Te Beest.



Friends and relatives may call on the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.



Funeral services for Georgianna “Jeanne” A. Herrmann will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Deacon Willis James Heideman officiating.



Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
