Gerald Duane Lively, age 91 passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam, WI.

He was born on August 6, 1928 the son of William and Mabel Lively in Chicago, IL. On January 9, 1953 he married the love of his life Evelyn Posthuma Lively, in Oak Park,IL.

Gerald attended school in Amunson, IL. He received many awards for track and field competitions. Gerald was a State Farm insurance agent for over 40 years in Chicago. He and his wife worked side by side. They retired in 1989 and moved to Madison, WI at that time. They lived in Madison and Sun Prairie for 10 years and then moved to Beaver Dam, WI in 2003.

Gerald enjoyed golfing, going to the casino, and watching sports. He loved watching the Brewers and was an avid Chicago Bear fan!! Gerald had a heart of gold and always treated everyone with kindness.

Gerald is survived by his wife Evelyn of 66 years; one sister-in-law, Winnetta Braaksma; and many nephews,  nieces and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and many brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law.

A private family graveside service will take place at Highland Memory Gardens.
