Gerald Walter Pahl, age 79 of Fall River, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
Inurnment for Gerald will take place on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Oakwood Cemetery, W8285 State Road 33, Beaver Dam, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Jim Wendt officiating. Military honors will be provided by Francis Cuff American Legion Post 208 of Rio.
A memorial gathering for Gerald will take place on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Wendt officiating.
Gerald was born in Columbus on September 18, 1944, the son of Walter E. and Delores M. (Schafer) Pahl. He was a 1962 graduate of Fall River High School. On April 12, 1969, he was united in marriage to his wife, Lorraine G. Werner at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Gerald was a lifelong farmer, farming all his life from the time he was 4 years old. He worked at the Fall River Post Office as a carrier for over 25 years and at Johnson Motor Sales of Columbus as a mechanic for 12 years. He also drove the school bus for Fall River School District. An avid outdoorsman, Gerald enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as taking out the pontoon in summer and snowmobile in winter. He was a member of the Columbus/Fall River Sno-Blazers. In his free time, he loved taking things apart and fixing them, and was known to make parts or tools to fix things if needed, and he took pride in helping and supporting his children's 4-H projects for many years.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Lorraine Pahl of Fall River; children, Sherrie (Mike) Heller of Cambria, Teresa (Mark) Heller of Randolph, and Lori (Kevin) Buechel of Malone; grandchildren, Sydnie, Enya, and Dylan Heller, and Renlee Buechel; brother, Richard (Sharon) Pahl of Fall River; sister-in-law, Carol (Dennis) Brossard of Beaver Dam; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Delores; and other relatives.
