Glenrose A. Czarneski, age 81 of Beaver Dam, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at her home in Beaver Dam.
Glenrose was born on April 15, 1929 in Beaver Dam to Edwin and Agnes (nee Frank-Deniger) Waddell. She attended Beaver Dam schools and was a 1946 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On May 20, 1950, she was united in marriage to Eugene "Sarge" Czarneski in Beaver Dam. Glenrose worked at Monarch Range, Campbells Department Store, Maloney's Jewelry and Yanikowski and Cupery Law Office, all in Beaver Dam. She was a member of the Beaver Dam Country Club (formerly Sunset Hills Golf Club), Dodge County Legal Assistants and St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam. Glenrose had several hobbies including; bowling, golfing, traveling, shopping, doing puzzles and going to lunch with friends. She and Sarge loved to vacation to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and later to Las Vegas. She will always be remembered for "making the best potato salad around." Glenrose was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Glenrose is survived by her sons, Jeff Czarneski and Jan Czarneski both of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Amy (Alberto) Czarneski-Rodriguez, Glenda Czarneski-Galvan, Cali Czarneski, Zach Czarneski and Ian Czarneski; great-grandchildren, Alessandra, Diego, Felix, Isaac, Maricela; and a brother Ken (Gloria) Waddell of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene "Sarge" Czarneski on June 18, 2003, two brothers, two sisters and other relatives.
A Memorial Service for Glenrose will be held on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam with Deacon Edward Cody officiating. A Memorial Gathering will also be held on Monday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Service at 3:00 p.m. A luncheon will immediately follow the Memorial Service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
