Hazel Vick, 87, a resident of St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac, died Saturday evening, October 20, 2012 at the home.
Hazel was born March 17, 1925 in the town of Fox Lake in Dodge County the daughter of Herbert and Martha Paul Schultz. On August 29, 1943 she married Irvin Vick at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fox Lake. Following their marriage the couple farmed until Irvin’s death on November 9, 1989. Hazel was employed in food service at Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam for 17 years. She was a member of County Line Lutheran Church of rural Markesan where she had been an active member of the County Line Women of the ELCA.
Hazel is survived by two children, Diane (John) Roets of Fond du Lac, and Ronald (Gladys) Vick of Fox Lake; five grandchildren, Tim (Beth) Pautsch, Randall Vick, Jeffrey Vick, Gwendolyn Vick (and Rodney Bensley), Caleb Vick (and fiancée Rachel Duffy); three great-grandchildren, Jessica Pautsch, Nick Gellings, and Jonathon Gellings; a great-great-grandson, Jacoby Rivera; two brothers, Kenneth (Laura) Schultz of Waupun, and Gordon (Lucille) Schultz of Beaver Dam; a sister, Ethel (David) Lenz of St. Ansgar, IA; two sisters-in-law, Gustie Schultz of Fox Lake and Joyce Schultz of Markesan; and nieces and nephews.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin; and two brothers, Sheldon Schultz and Russell Schultz.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives of Hazel Vick may call on the family on Tuesday at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Hazel Vick will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 3 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Bruce Engebretson officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton.
