IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen G.
Westphal
May 31, 1924 – January 7, 2012
Helen was born in rural Reeseville on May 31, 1924 to Herbert and Hattie (nee Klentz) Luckow. She was united in marriage to Alex Westphal on October 28, 1942 in Lowell. Alex preceded her in death in 1964. Helen worked as a baker at Clearview in Juneau for 18 years and was a member of Salem Ev. Lutheran Church in Lowell, where she enjoyed being active in the Ladies Aid, serving as a past President. Helen also worked at the Lowell Senior Meal Site.
Helen enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the cottage on Silver Lake in Wautoma, and she always looked forward to family holiday gatherings. Her hobbies included playing cards, crocheting afghans, watching game shows, reading bibliographies, doing crossword puzzles and watching and feeding birds. She traveled throughout the world and took many trips to Las Vegas. Helen was also very fond of watching the Brewers and listening to Bob Uecker, whether they were winning or losing. While Helen did enjoy going out to eat, she also loved to bake and cook, and especially enjoyed desserts. Her positive outlook on life and loving personality will be missed by many.

She is further survived by her faithful friend and hairdresser, Serene and her mother Shirley, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
