Vander Galien
December 15, 1932 – May 20, 2022
Henry was born in Randolph, Wisconsin on December 15, 1932, into the family of Mike (Miedert) and Nellie Vander Galien.
He was the brother and brother-in-law to five siblings; Sid (Louise), Henrietta (Bill), Bill (Sally), Gloria (Ed) and Jim (Judie).
On September 18, 1953, Henry married the love of his life, JoAnne Vander Meulen. They celebrated 67 years of marriage before JoAnne's passing on November 6, 2020.
Through this marriage he became the brother-in-law to six sisters of JoAnne's; Wilda (Rudy), Teddy (Ken), Eve (Garret), Dottie (Russ/Ron), Annette (Doug) and Ruth (Roger).
Henry was father and father-in-law to; Cindy (Dave), Mark (Dawn) and Kevin (Kathy). He adored and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Henry's passions were creating and building things. He and JoAnne enjoyed many rides in the Amish countryside.
On Friday, May 20, 2022, Henry's earthly life ended. We will miss him so much but rejoice that he is with Jesus. The struggles and pains of this life are no more, and he will be seeing JoAnne again.
A memorial gathering for Henry will take place on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Faith Community Church, 401 Stone St., Beaver Dam, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Jason Ruis officiating. The family also invites those in attendance to a time of food and fellowship following the service at the church.
