Howard Clemens Sell, age 74 of rural Markesan, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Berlin Memorial Hospital.

Howard was born on May 20, 1941 in Ripon, the son of Clemens and Laura (Weiss) Sell. He graduated from Markesan High School. On June 2, 1962 he was united in marriage to Donna M. Grusczynski at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ in Ripon. He worked for many years as a manager at Green Lake Redi-Mix Plant and was also a self-employed roofer. Working hard to support his family was his upmost priority, working most days from 4:00 a.m. until dark. He enjoyed cutting wood and spending time at the family cottage hunting and fishing. He loved his grandchildren, to whom he tried to pass on as much wisdom as possible. He was a member of the Grand River Marsh Turkey Club, the Green Lake County Board of Supervisors and the Marquette Volunteer Fire Department. Howard was also a big fan of watching pro wrestling.

Howard is survived by his wife, Donna of Markesan; his daughters, Brenda (Jeff) Schwaller of Pembine, WI, Pam Kluge of Green Lake and Rebecca (William) Dumke of Manchester; his grandchildren, Colt, Amanda, Bryan, Amber, Savanah, Gavin, Hailey; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Linda Lager of Markesan; his brother, Roger (Carla) Sell of Markesan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, David Lager and other relatives.
