Irene L. Pokey, age 83 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

A private memorial service for Irene will be held and inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Irene was born on November 9, 1933 in Milwaukee, the daughter of William and Hattie (Kauth) Hoff. She was united in marriage to Joseph M. Pokey on February 20, 1954 at St. Gall's Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Irene was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting and playing Bunco. Her dogs held a special place in her heart.

Irene is survived by her husband, Joseph; her children, Jean (Randy) Schultz of Lomira, Michael of Newburg and Patrick (Susan) of Columbus; six grandchildren, Nicole, Anthony, Michael Jr., Joshua, Jacob and Jonathon; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Matthew and Jayden; sister, Jean Sadowski of Omro and further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and other relatives.
