Jacob Carl Bresser, fondly known as Jake, was born on November 7, 1995, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He departed from us far too soon on June 12, 2025, in St. Paul, Minnesota, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him.
Jake's life was defined by hard work, determination, and love. He garnered accolades and respect in both his professional and personal pursuits. A recent Certified Financial Planner, he found great success at RBC Wealth Management over the past five years. His diligence was evident as he passed the SIE, Series 7, and 66 exams.
Academically, Jake’s journey was equally impressive. A graduate of Eau Claire Memorial High School, he distinguished himself as one of the most decorated Old Abe Hockey players, continuing to build on his legacy at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where he not only served as captain but also earned the honor of being named an NCAA III (ACHA) First Team All-American. He graduated in 2020 with dual majors in Finance and Accounting. He recently obtained his Master’s Degree in Personal Financial Planning.
A devoted husband to Brielle Bresser, their bond was filled with love, happiness, and finding joy in the little things. Together, they walked with their dog, Lola, embarked on long bike rides, and played cribbage (Jake always added up Brielle's points for her), Scrabble and card games. He enjoyed cooking new recipes (especially cookies), making cortados, and taking care of the lawn at their new home. They loved traveling and trying new foods, their favorite destination was Hawaii for their honeymoon. When with his family, Jake loved spending time with his nephews, helping with family dinners, playing board games, getting ice cream, and imparting his financial wisdom. He was the first to offer to do the dishes and serve everyone dessert.
Jake also valued companionship with friends, often found golfing, engaging in spirited pickleball games, and enjoying weekends at the cabin, fostering bonds enriched by shared laughter and unmistakable camaraderie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brielle; his parents, Timothy (JulieAnne) Bresser and Deb (Jim) Brown; his siblings, Casandra (Eric) Hutchinson, Eryn (Nick) Levin, Molly Bresser, and Carson Bresser; his in-laws, Kurt and LeAnn Bjork, Reid (Kara) Bjork, and Cole (Jagger) Bjork; as well as his nephews, August Levin, Henrik Hutchinson, and Roman Bjork. His compassionate, selfless, and witty demeanor allowed him to connect deeply with numerous communities. He was not just a member; he was a beloved friend and pillar of support to his wife, family, and friends. The family acknowledges the overwhelming love and support from the community during this tragic loss. The countless remembrances of Jake stand testament to the profound impact he had, and they encourage others to continue sharing their memories as a means of keeping his spirit alive.
Jacob Carl Bresser’s light may have dimmed, but it shall forever illuminate the hearts of those who loved him. May his loving energy continue to inspire us all to cherish our connections and to love fiercely, just as he did.A memorial service for Jake will take place at 11 am on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church 1314 E.
