James "Jim" A. Rake, age 69 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

Jim was born in Beaver Dam on October 19, 1953, the son of Gerald and Josephine (Lehner) Rake. On November 12, 1994, he was united in marriage to Ann Hinkes. Jim enjoyed the simple things in life, appreciated mowing lawn and doing yardwork, and attending car shows. A sports fan, he liked watching the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and Bucks, and loved his trip to the Super Bowl in New Orleans to root for the Packers in 1997. He enjoyed spending time with friends, and in his younger years, playing softball with them.

Jim is survived by his wife, Ann Hinkes-Rake; daughter Molly (Dominick Taylor) Hinkes; siblings, Geraldine (Paul) Shapiro, Steve Rake, Bob (Janet) Rake; sister-in-law, Mary (Doug) Koepsell; brother-in-law, John (Heather) Hinkes; his cat, Bitten; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Lois Rake; and other relatives.

In honoring Jim's wishes, a private family gathering will be held.
