James A. Densmoor, age 87 of Milwaukee, was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.

A gathering of friends and family will be held in the community room at Ridgewood Apartments, 7470 W. Glenbrook Rd, Milwaukee on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm.

Visitation will be held at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan, WI on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Markesan Memorial Cemetery with graveside military honors.

Proud father of Frank, Michael (Maria), Deena (John Conway) and John, he loved God and Jesus Christ. Jim enjoyed family and friends, cooking, ballroom dancing, and his collection of Christmas music. He always had a joke to share. Being an Army veteran, he loved the United States of America and was a proud patriot. Jim is survived by his children and grandchildren, his sister Phyllis Spencer, nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Verna Densmoor and other relatives.

Jim grew up in Markesan, WI on his family farm doing all you would expect a boy to do. He fondly reminisced about his youth, such as the time when his father drove the family in a horse drawn sleigh across snow covered fields to his grandmother's home. There was so much snow they were riding over fencelines.

After college, Jim went on to start his career in radio, moving into broadcast television, then advertising.  During this time, he enjoyed go-karting and camping and boating with his family.
