James Harry Birkholz, age 84 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

James was born in Beaver Dam on March 9, 1941, the son of Harry and Norma (Hartwig) Birkholz. On December 7, 1968, he was united in marriage to his wife, Dolores A. York. A true outdoorsman, he loved fishing and could always be found at the lake. He also enjoyed traveling, adventuring all over the United States and the world. James was known for his happy, loving, and friendly personality, helping his neighbors and friends out with anything he could. Above all, his family meant everything to him.

James is survived by his daughter, Tyann Pritchard; granddaughters, Marissa Birkholz and Bryn Pritchard; great-grandchildren, Kingsley Herreman, Lexa Miller, and Jaxson Miller; sister, June (Harvey) Martin; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores; and other relatives.

In honoring his wishes, private family services for James will be held.
