James "Jim" E. Kelm, age 60 of Reeseville, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Cannon Falls Medical Center in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. Jim was born on October 24, 1949 to Wayne and Eleanor (nee Kranz) Kelm. He was united in marriage to Mary Voight on June 17, 1972 in Beaver Dam. Jim was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam and worked as a truck driver for Bradley Farms in Sun Prairie. He enjoyed spending his free time bow and gun hunting, four-wheeling, cooking, reading and spending time with his family. He was very handy and enjoyed woodworking; he was especially proud of the cabin he built up north. Jim loved Christmas because of the pure joy and excitement it brought to children. He was extremely selfless and could always bring out the best in everyone around him.

Jim is survived by his wife, Mary of Reeseville; his son, Brian Kelm of Reeseville; his siblings, Margaret Anderson of Beaver Dam, Charlie (Susan) Kelm of Beaver Dam, John (Elaine) Kelm of Montello, Ruth Ladwig of Columbus, David (Teri) Kelm of Randolph, and Donna (Claude) Chamberling of Hudson, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Barbara Kelm, and other relatives.

A Memorial Service for Jim will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. Beaver Dam, with Rev. Mark Wenzel officiating. A Memorial Gathering will take place at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
