James (Jim) Junior Kuik, 88, passed away Feb 3, 2026, at Waupun Christian Homestead Home in Waupun.
Jim was born July 7, 1937 in Waupun, the son of John and La Vern (Willemsen) Kuik. Jim went to school in Waupun. On June 12, 1959 he married Phyllis Kok at Alto Reformed Church. Following their marriage, the couple resided in Waupun until 1969 at which time they moved to Alto and in 1973 moved to Brandon.
Jim had the usual paper boy route, worked at Nummerdor Brothers in Waupun, Gibson Bros in Fond du Lac, Stam’s Auto Body and Asmus Auto Body in Waupun before owning his own shop outside of Brandon, Jim’s Auto Body and Truck Lettering in 1971.
Jim’s hobbies were fishing, wood carving, model railroading, and a 4H leader for over 25 years and the grandchildren. He was a member of Bethel Church in Brandon.
Jim is survived by three sons: Randy (Mary) Kuik of Lamartine, Dan (Sandy) Kuik of Alto and Ken Kuik of Brandon; four grandchildren: Nic (Hannah) Kuik, Samantha (Sam) Dreifuerst, Melissa (fiancé Matt Gabel) Kuik, and Matthew (Megan) Kuik, 2 great-grandchildren, a brother in law David Brink; nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis of 62 years; his parents; his sisters Joan Bruins, Deloris Pluim and Joyce Brink; brother in laws Henry Bruins and David Pluim.
Funeral services for Jim Kuik will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at Bethel Church in Brandon. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
