Obituary

James "Jim" Lawrence Wild, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. He was born on January 3, 1964 in Beaver Dam, WI, the son of Gilbert and Marjorie Wild.

A memorial gathering for Jim will take place on Sunday, July 27 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam.

Jim graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1982 and attended the University of Wisconsin Platteville, where he earned a B.S. in Technical Agriculture. He then furthered his education at Iowa State University, pursuing a Masters in Meat Science. He spent seven years at Rhone-Poulenc in Cranbury, NJ, followed by fourteen years at Kraft Food Ingredients in Memphis, TN. Throughout his career, he earned numerous awards and held multiple patents, a testament to his dedication, innovation, and strong work ethic.

Jim was an avid Packers fan, always eager to tune in to that week's game. He was a great cook, especially known for his soups, lasagna, and grilling, and he enjoyed biking, especially long road bike rides with MS150 and shorter rides around town with his daughters. He enjoyed spending time with his high school friends (the Meadow Muffins), meeting up with some of them annually for a snowmobiling trip.

Jim faced many challenges throughout his life, but his unwavering love for his daughters—Madelyn, Courtney, and Alicia—gave him the strength to keep going. With the support of the dedicated team at Nova Counseling Services, Jim confronted his struggles with addiction and proudly celebrated 14 months of sobriety at his passing.

During his recovery, he found purpose in helping others navigate their own paths to healing. His gentle spirit, patience, and compassion made him a trusted listener and a guiding light for many.

His family and friends are deeply proud of all that Jim accomplished. He will always be remembered for his strength, his kindness, his playfulness, and the impact he made on the lives of those around him.

Jim is survived by his daughters, Madelyn, Courtney, and Alicia; his siblings, Craig Wild, Paul Wild, Dave (Mindy) Wild, Mike Wild, and twin sister, Julie (Dean) Endlich; and further survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert; mother, Marjorie; sister, Ann; and sister-in-law, Jan.

Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam is honored to be serving the family.
