Jamie Beth Flejter

d. February 26, 2012

(1955 - 2012)
Jamie Beth Flejter, 56, of Waupun, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012. She was at home surrounded with love from her family, friends and kitties, Mr. Geno and Shelby. Jamie bravely fought Ovarian Cancer for five years and is now resting peacefully.

Jamie was born on Dec. 8, 1955, to parents Jim Flejter and Dixie Marlowe Kanas. She was the oldest of six children; three boys and three girls. Jamie graduated high school in Muskego , and continued on for Veterinary Technical training. In 2010 she ended her 15 year career at Lake Shore Veterinary Hospital as the Hospital Manager so she could continue her battle with the cancer.
While Jamie is no longer with us she is survived by her two handsome boys Ryan (Cassie) Flejter and Jeffry (Michelle) Voss Jr. Jamie will be missed by her life partner and soul mate, Nicki Capen; loving parents Jim Flejter and Dixie and Ronald Kanas; her in-laws Bob and Betty Capen; her five siblings, Lance (Monica) Flejter, Lee (Dave) Mayer, Christian (Steve) Bonack, Dirk (Jesse) Flejter, and Jason (Monique) Flejter; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and an endless list of people who Jamie had touched during her short years here on earth.
Jamie's grace, compassion, kindness, and fortitude lives today in her two sons. This being Jamie’s greatest gift led her to dedicate her entire life to caring for and loving others, including animals and people alike. She held the deepest respect for all God’s creations and walked every day of her life appreciating the little things in life. Jamie had a passion for living life to the fullest and experiencing all of the great joys that life had to offer. Her family was her greatest joy, most of all, her two sons Ryan and Jeffry.
Jamie's second greatest joy in life was traveling the world with her life partner and family. Her adventurous spirit and fun-loving nature led her and many other family members on wonderful journeys, traveling to see the world. Jamie enjoyed many other hobbies to include remodeling the home that she and Nicki shared for many years, gardening, crafting, writing and fishing.
Jamie's long battle with Cancer was met with strength, fortitude and courage. Jamie spent her time fully embracing life and encouraging others to do the same. She accomplished many great things while giving many people lots of great memories to hold in their hearts, often reminding others that life is a gift, and live it to the fullest.
