Jane Lawrie, 58, of Waupun, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Friday, December 21, 2012 at her home.
Jane was born on April 20, 1954 in Beaver Dam, the daughter of the late Elroy and Phyllis Skelton Harder. She graduated from Waupun High School in 1972, and lived in Waupun all her life. On October 18, 1997 she married Pete Lawrie in Waupun. She was employed at Silgan Containers in Waupun where she was a punch press operator and retired from the teamsters after 32 years. She was also Vice President and co-owner of her husband’s business, Pete’s Auto Repair of Waupun. Jane loved making candles, growing flowers, and her pets, Roscoe, April, Kitty Cat, and Auggie. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Burnett.
Jane is survived by her husband, Pete Lawrie of Waupun; her twin brother, Jim Harder and his wife, Janet of Markesan; two sisters, Kay (Mike) Wallsten of West Bend and Nancy Vanderkin of Waupun; a sister-in-law, Rhonda Harder of Burnett; and several nieces and a nephew. Many knew of Jane’s special bonds with nieces Hannah, Claire, Payton, and Rowan Harder.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Patrick Harder in 2009; a brother-in-law, Larry Vanderkin in 2002; and her mother & father-in-law.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 4-7 p.m. and on Thursday at church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Jane Lawrie will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in North Burnett with Rev. Floyd Gogolin officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at North Burnett Cemetery.
