Janis Rindfliesch, age 69 of Fox Lake, passed away on June 20, 2012 at Golden Living Center-Continental Manor in Randolph.
She was born in Madison on March 21, 1943 the daughter of Don and Ann Adler. Janis graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1961. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Rindfliesch on June 28, 1963. Janis worked for the State of Wisconsin (Division of Motor Vehicle) for several years before having their son Don in 1972. In the late 1970s her husband and herself started their own drywall business, which she did the bookwork and errands for many years. Janis enjoyed cooking, reading, working outdoors in her flowers, visits with family and friends whether on the phone or in person, e-mail jokes, and solitaire. Janis enjoyed watching Wisconsin Badger football and men's basketball, which she referred to as her "Bucky" boys. She also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers. Janis always sent birthday, anniversary, thank you, sympathy, get-well, and just short notes to family and friends all her life.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Rindfliesch of Fox Lake, son, Don Rindfliesch of Fox Lake, sister, Dona (Jerry) Muske of Sun Prairie, brother-in-law, Gary (Doris) Rindfliesch of Poynette and many other relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Janis was preceded in death by her parents Don and Ann Adler.
There will not be a memorial service per the wishes of Janis. Janis appreciated all the phone calls, visits, and cards during the last two year battle of her cancer.
The family would like to thank oncologist Dr. Roy Kim, Dr. Jamie DeVries, Jessica Kemnick, Deb Hupf, and Patty DeVries and the staff of Beaver Dam Hillside Hospice, Thelma and staff of GLC-Continental Manor of Randolph and the Randolph Hometown Pharmacy for all their compassion and care.
