Jared Robert Erickson, born September 30, 1966, to Leona and Burnell Erickson, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 27, 2026.
He is survived by his daughter Bree (Nick), and granddaughter Harlow Swenson, significant other, his “Tammers” Tammy Borde, and special grandbuddies Tommy and Brentley. As well as siblings Joyce (Bill) Monteufel, John Erickson, Jay (Kay) Erickson, Janette (Bob) Sullivan, Jason (Jane) Erickson, Jack Erickson, Jill Erickson, Joann (Steve) Griffith, Jarvis (Kris) Erickson, Janese (John) Walter, and Jeff (Rhonda) Erickson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leona and Burnell Erickson. Siblings Jim Erickson, Judy Powell, Jerome Erickson, and Jerry Erickson.
Jared was a lifelong HVAC expert, farmer and Mr. fix it (and if he didn’t know what to do- he knew a guy or had no problem buying a new tool to figure it out). He had a passion for farming, and in his younger years, riding Harley motorcycles. His biggest passion and light of his life was his granddaughter, Harlow. He would go to the ends of the Earth if it meant making her smile or giggle. He was so proud to be a grandpa and a dad to his daughter, Bree. He was never more content than just being around them. Jared was an exceptional friend and truly knew what it meant to be a “villager”. He was the guy everyone called when they needed help- no matter the circumstances, he found a way to help if someone needed him. This led to many lifelong friendships, and knowing more people than one guy should be able to keep track of. Above all else, he knew how to have fun and would always remind the ones around him not to take things too seriously with his jokes and banter. He leaves a heavy loss to all of the lives he touched. He was truly one of a kind, and there will never be another Jared!
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
