Jean A. Hatfield, age 68 of Beaver Dam and formerly of Rockford, a dear wife, mother and grandmother was called to rest by her God on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at her home. Jean was the first of 6 children born on July 29, 1940 to John and Amy Jo Brown in Richland Center, Wisconsin. She married Robert Hatfield on December 28, 1958 in Muscoda, Wisconsin. Most of their married life was spent in Rockford, Illinois. In 2002, Jean and Bob found the home of their dreams on the lake in Beaver Dam. Married at an early age to Robert, it was a loving union that lasted over 50 years; "one in which 'we' grew up together". Their marriage was blessed with 5 children.

Always willing to take on responsibility for her family and friends, Jean enjoyed her church and volunteer work, her Rockford prayer group "Wild Women", Beaver Dam faith sharing group and the occasional trip to Ho-Chunk where she won big more than once. Her shining talent however was cooking and baking, and she was never happier than when preparing a delectable dinner for her loved ones. Jean loved her family with all her heart.

She will be dearly missed by; her husband Robert, sons; Christopher, Daniel and John (Margenia), daughters; Kelly Chavez and Teresa (Kelly Hill) Musso and a daughter- in-law Sharon Hatfield. Known as "Nani" to her grandchildren Rachel (Erik) Johnson, Ryan Hatfield, Renee (Eric) Cupp, Andrew, Aaron and Amy Jean Chavez, Mindy, Amanda and Bobby Hatfield, John Patrick and Justin Hatfield, Leo and Sam Musso, 2 great grandchildren; Erica Cupp and Evan Johnson. Jean is also survived by her sisters and brother, Kathleen (Richard) Rowley, Barbara (Pat Owen) Brown, Dennis (Suzanne) Brown, Elizabeth (Peter) Edstrom and is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents John and Amy Jo, her brother Michael Brown and her niece Lisa Marie.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 5:00p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish (511 S. Spring St.) in Beaver Dam with Fr. John Schreiter as Celebrant. A Memorial Gathering will also be held at the Church on Friday from 3:00p.m. until the time of Mass at 5:00p.m. A luncheon will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Parish (127 W.
